A non-permanent facelift and skin rejuvenation option

When I think of Dermal Fillers, I think of options. That is a great thing when it comes to Cosmetics and Aesthetics. Dermal fillers give us options to rejuvenate your skin, correct wrinkles, replace volume and can provide good insight to possible surgical outcomes – should that be the route you are considering.

I have many patients that in no way want to undergo surgery – ever! And that is fine, they chose to have Dermal Filler treatments to keep them looking young and refreshed with beautiful skin.

I only use gold standard Hyaluronic Acid Dermal Fillers in my practice. They offer the safest treatment plan, predictable results and ultimately happy patients.

Being a naturally occurring sugar in the human body, the Hyaluronic acid is broken down by natural body processes ultimately leaving the body over approximately 9-12 months. At this stage you will need to undergo the procedure again.

In some cases patients come for the Dermal Filler treatments and enjoy the results so much they opt for more permanent surgical options. But this is only an option after the product has disappeared from the skin and we will need to discuss your desires and expectations, plus the risks of cosmetic surgery.

In all Dermal Filler indications, the product is injected into the skin using either a needle or a micro-cannula. My choice of Dermal Filler has Lidocaine mixed into the product for pain relief but I can also use dental blocks or topical anaesthetic creams depending on the indication.

The most popular Dermal Filler treatment areas are:

  • Laugh lines
  • Lip outline
  • Lip volume
  • Wrinkles
  • Liquid face lifts
  • Skin rejuvenation (using skin boosters like Restylane Vital)

There are of course some risks to the treatment, but we can discuss them during the consultation. These risks include: infection, allergic reaction, bruising, or granulomas. First time patients require a little longer during consultation and should book off 45 minutes for the consult.

Many patients use Dermal Fillers in conjunction with Botox to further aid in their youthful rejuvenation.
